Critiques
There is more foreground detail in this image.
Many images with lone trees tend to be focused on the tree and tree only. I love how you included the grass/wheat in this image and also your cross-colouration processing!
The tree looks a bit ordinary though. It would be much better if you increased the highlights. The highlights seem to have been recovered and look slighly washy.
Most of these tree-portraits break the "rule of thirds" barrier, but it's okay, since they work really well.
The smokey effect gives us a mysterious imagination to this piece.
Have you tried B&W or HDR?
I think those options would make amazing images!
